Updated Watchlist for Tuesday, May 11, 2010

17

Remember:  The purpose of these trade alerts and watchlists is to keep discussion going about what’s going on in the marketplace.  It is not my intention to have you trade what I trade, simply to tell you which trades I take that we’ve talked about at the WLWs.

In order to make this the best learning opportunity for you, it’s important that you share your thoughts and ideas on the charts, fundamentals, psychology, or whatever you need.

The CAD/JPY and the USD/JPY have just recently broken out of their tight little ranges and are testing the first area of support right now.  If you’re not already in those, that may make a good trade for today,  a bounce would be long, and a break would be further shorts.

Other than that…everything else seems ‘in progress’.

The EUR/USD and the EUR/JPY are almost to their secondary lows.  There may be a chance for some consolidation there later in the day, to take advantage of.

The GBP/USD and the GBP/JPY each have one more definitive leg to their secondary lows with the G/U having  just broken into that trading range with last hour’s candle close below 1.4770.

Even though I’m already long the U/CAD it has only continued to range, so that range is a good are of indecision to watch for its next movement.

Let me know what you’re watching/trading today.  It’s been great being in better touch with you.  I’m looking forward to more and more participation from everyone.

I’m going to see what I can do about getting a plugin that will alert you when someone has added a comment.  Thanks for letting me know about that.

Be good to you!
Triffany

  1. I’m testing out a plugin I found that will allow you to edit your comments after you’ve posted them, but before time expires. I hope it works…*fingers crossed*

  2. Darn…close…but it didn’t work, so don’t try it yet. I’ve got to get my kids out this morning and do some work at the school. I work on it again when I get back.

  3. Couldn’t resist…had to try one more thing…still testing.

UJ is stuck in one of Triff’s muddy zones……….. current 4 hour candle covers the high and the low……… MACD shows long bias, and while I am long a tiny position, it looks very ify until it clearly breaks up or down…………….. other observations?

Re: comments – I would love a sidebar plugin displaying most recent comments. Still, clicking the “Comments” link next to the “News Feed” link at the Top-Right has been great!

I’m out of my CAD long – it’s just mini-consolidating now. And not interested in anything else at the moment… still delicately poised since last Thursday’s mayhem…

Re: UJ – I don’t have any bias at the moment, long or short term – seems to be well balanced at the moment. Saying that, it’s starting to triangulate on the larger Daily and Weekly timeframes so possible big moves coming up…

  7. Jerry Nissen says:

GJ breaking 1 hour box……… is it a buy or going to pull back?

  8. Aby David says:

Looks like I am behind the times, the UK refused to join in the $750bn euro rescue package to help the whole of europe … yey, and some french top honcho guy threatened not to help the UK when the GBP crashes … yey … UK production numbers are up AND war with FRANCE … yey … could things really get any better ??? ;-)

  9. There is supposed to be some way to check a box to be emailed follow up comments. I’m going to post this and see if it works.

  10. T H says:

It works! There’s a little box at the beneath the comment box that you can check to receive an email after you’ve commented. Woo hoo!! I did it!! Dave, are you listening? You’d be proud!! :D

  11. T H says:

Now, I’m testing the edit comments plugin again
