Watchlist for August 18, 2009
| Pair | Daily | 4h | 1h |
| CADJPY | Double top seems to be pausing at significant support (even on the W chart), but still feels bearish overall | Bounce off 85.88 would mean a short to 85.15, Close above would mean a long to 86.00 | Time to let it consolidate around the 800sma, though I’m tempted to sell it now to 84.00 |
| EURJPY | Looks to be picking up steam for another drop, but hasn’t retraced to 136 yet. Significant overnight retrace to 134 may have been enough | Bounce off of 134.14 would mean a short to 133.10; close above would mean a long to 136. Is it trying to go to the 800sma? | wrapping around the 800sma again |
| EURUSD | Consolidation seems to be tightening again. | Head and shoulders seems to playing out with a bounce off the neckline after breakout. | Retest seems successful. First PT is 150 on fibs at about 1.4000. |
| GBPCHF | Consolidation seems to be tightening again. | Impulsive long needs a correction. | Bouncing off the 800sma? |
| GBPJPY | Showing hesitation. | pulled back to the top of the channel and ready to bounce back down. | Bouncing down and away from the area of indecision. |
| GBPUSD | Stuck back in old consolidation range. | pulled back to the top of the channel and ready to bounce back down. | Bouncing down and away from the area of indecision. |
| NZDUSD | Finally hit the 800sma, now divergent. | After big move, looks like time to consolidate. | Divergence looks over. Time for a bounce? |
| USDCAD | Consolidating around the 800sma, double bottom? | looks to be bouncing off of support at 1.1020 | Stuck, even after yesterday’s climb. Staying away from this one. |
| USDCHF | Consolidation tightening again | Looks like it is ready for another swing at the 800sma. | Wrapping wildly around the 800…no clear signal here. |
| USDJPY | Stuck in very large consolidation area. Looks to be rejecting support at 95.0ish | Reversal candles | Tightening around 800sma. Bouncing back down to 84.45? |
Or: WL for a printable version (it is a .docx, so you’ll need Word 2007 or the free reader you can get at Microsoft).
Faves Video These are .swf files and some of you, on Macs are having difficulty with them. Let me know what file type you need and I will see if I can buy that option with the software company or something. Thanks!
Faves today are: EURUSD, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and GBPUSD…NZDUSD is looking interesting as well, but I won’t be taking it today.
BTW – What I’m using for these short little vids is a program called Jing, from TechSmith. It’s free and totally easy to use. You may find it useful for your own trading journals or something.
Be good to you!

Question about selling CADJPY to the 84…… The 4 hour looks rather bullish doesn’t it? Maybe I’m missing the whole thing..
