Watchlist for September 25, 2009
| Pair | Daily | 4h | 1h |
| CADJPY | Enormous triangle | Odd consolidation area, but seems to be tightening up fine. | Long above 87.54, short below 87.20 |
| EURJPY | Price is toying w/ the top of the muddy area | Major climbs w/o retracements. Could make 137 and 136 targets to watch for counter trend | All those tiny little candles makes finding a counter trend entry point difficult for me. Maybe it will look better if it makes a Sunday consolidation area. |
| EURUSD | Steadily climbing but divergent, time for a pullback? | Consolidation area between 1.5045 and 1.4965, but the trend-side of things looks tired. I’ll be watching for one more pop up and then a counter trend trade. | I’m still long, but w/ a tightened stop… this baby’s looking tired. |
| GBPCHF | Stuck between 1.6684 and 1.6240 | Severe bounce off of 1.6684 happened so fast a correction seems likely. Long above 1.6684 seems like a great trade to at least 1.6980, if not 1.7415 | Looks like a tighter consolidation might be likely between 1.6530 and 1.6412… could get a better entry on the 4h long here. |
| GBPJPY | Skirting around the neckline of the double top, but still hasn’t retraced to 144, that could be important if this loses steam to the long side. | At the 800sma, will give it time to consolidate | Hidden bullish divergence and it did come back to an old trendline, could be looking for a bounce, especially as a correction to the sharp move on Friday. |
| GBPUSD | Friday’s bear candle created a lower high, is this sticking to a downtrend rather than a consolidation? | Friday’s move made some weird price action…obviously a bounce or a break of 1.63 is important, but to where? | Complete retracement to the 800sma consolidation level. Looks like it is ready to bounce long to me…but anything can happen on Sunday…I’ll wait until Monday to make a plan for this one. |
| NZDUSD | Upside is looking pretty tired w/ undecided candles and a tightening macd | head and shoulders? | Long above .76, short below .75 |
| USDCAD | It did retrace to the bottom of the 800 consolidation area. CAD looks ready to strengthen again | Headed back to the 800sma? Looks like it made its first attempt…time for a pause or pullback | Ascending triangle near the 800sma, that last push up could be the spike before the drop….have to wait for a good setup on this one. |
| USDCHF | Downtrend is looking tired. | Time for a first attempt back to the 800sma? | Looks like it may need to tighten a bit more before breaking, but I like the long on this one. |
| USDJPY | Price is at the bottom of a muddy area right now | Headed to the 800sma? | Hasn’t hit the first 200% extension level off of the 800sma breakout yet. |
I kind of have a ‘wait and see’ attitude on a lot of these, but I think by Monday we’ll see some better signs from the market setting up.
