Let me know what you’re watching/trading!  :)

WLW Reminder

Watchlist Webinars are free to members and happen on Mondays and Wednesdays  at 8am EDT.  You can register to attend using the link in the blog category “Training” that says “[name of month]’s wlw link”.  Once you’re registered, you’ll receive reminders for the month from Citrix.  Once a new month begins you’ll have to register for the new room using the same link in the “Training” of the blog.

There are also free webinars at FX Street (www.fxstreet.com) on Tuesdays at 12:00 (noon) EDT.

Trade Alert Reminder

Remember:  The purpose of these trade alerts and watchlists is to keep discussion going about what’s going on in the marketplace.  It is not my intention to have you trade what I trade, simply to tell you which trades I take that we’ve talked about at the WLWs.

In order to make this the best learning opportunity for you, it’s important that you share your thoughts and ideas on the charts, fundamentals, psychology, or whatever you need.

  1. Whoa!! Did you see that u/cad take OFF after we discussed that hidden bullish divergence?! It’s like it heard us!! LOL

  2. Chris McLoughlin says:

I have been holding a short g/u for about a week now @15929. Very frustrating, I could have taken 50 60 pips several times but was waiting for it to pop. It POPPED today !! :) TPed @ 15650.

  3. Chris McLoughlin says:

BTW… looks like the time on the site is GMT.

  4. Yes, the site is on GMT. Good for you for watching that overextension on the G/U. That and the E/U has been overbought for WEEKS!! Nice to see it follow the rules. ;)

I’m currently short the E/J and E/U AGAIN…after my PTs were hit overnight and still short the N/U. I’m watching for a close below 1.5655 for a short on the G/U and I missed the U/CAD break long altogether. Once it moved it moved – not going to chase it.

  5. Ok…I’m a blithering idiot. I wrote down the trades in my journal and never actually placed them with my broker. ARG!!! I’m really only short the N/U. Dangit, dangit, dangit!!

  6. Jerry Nissen says:

I don’t think the UJ is going to zero so I am hanging on to Long positions. I had a nice profit at 110.285, but it got shot down at 50% fibo retracement.

    now at 109.466

  7. Jerry Nissen says:

Does anyone know of major announcements on the table today and what time?

  8. yaqui says:

    Jerry, we’re on the Thur/Fri thread – http://www.triffx.com/trade-alert-service/thread-for-thursdayfriday-traders-august-1213-2010/ ;)

I think you meant EUR/JPY before?

No major announcements until Asian session open according to Forexfactory.

  9. Jerry Nissen says:

    Thanks, Yaqui

Am I on the right page now?

  10. Jerry Nissen says:

I have two of these things open, One updates, the other doesn’t…………….. who knows…?

  11. Jerry Nissen says:

This thing is crazy………………. Cya Yaqui

  12. Whew…that was a close one on my N/U. What a fantastic trading week.

Those of you counter trend trading right now are in the perfect conditions for it!! Let me know how you do!! :D

  13. From Seth Godin’s blog today:
People seem to be in one of two categories:

    * Those who seek stability, affiliation, work worth doing and the assurance it (whatever it is) will be okay.
    * Those who explore, need to know that failure is an option and quest to make a dent in the universe.

You can be in either category, the world needs and rewards both. But pick a brand and a job and a posture that matches your category, or you’ll fail, and be miserable until you do.

Hint: there is no category of: “does risky exploration, never fails.”

  14. Jerry Nissen says:

If anyone is short USDJPY……………… what is your TP:

  15. Jerry Nissen says:

UJ seems to be consolidating – but will it jump up? or drop? or continue to consolidate……. dribble?

  16. Jerry Nissen says:

Is this logging Friday comments? anyone know?
